Release Radical Praise

We have all been in a place where we probably felt like the person crying out to God in Psalm 22, feeling like God has forgotten about us in the midst of our troubles and struggles. But he began to look beyond his troubles and remember the goodness of God upon his life. He acknowledged that God is holy and inhabits the praises of His people. He vowed to praise God in the midst of the congregation.

We must move from PRAYER to PRAISE: pray about the situation, then trust God and praise Him. Even before you receive the answer, the deliverance, the blessing: praise Him in advance.

On the morning of July 24, 2012 while I was working, I heard the voice of the Lord speaking into my spirit: “We will see breakthrough in these mountains when we breakout with praise, release a radical shout of praise into the atmosphere. For God inhabits the praises of His people.” If you want to see breakthrough in your present situation, then breakout with radical praise to HIM!

Sometimes we can become so bogged down with heaviness from seeing and hearing about all the “bad things” going on around us near and far, or even happening in our own lives. We get discouraged and weary. That is why Jesus said, “I have given you a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.”

Isaiah 61:1-3 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek, he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. (2) To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; (3) To appoint to them that mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.”

Within the word PRAISE is the word RAISE. PRAISE will RAISE you above your problems, above your enemy into the very presence of God, for God inhabits the praises of His people. PRAISE will RAISE you out of the pit of depression and heaviness in spirit.

Put your garment of praise on, wrap yourself in it, and release a radical praise into the atmosphere!

I was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of Southeastern Kentucky in a small town called Hazard. I am a writer, poet and published author and love history, especially oral history. I have two grown children who embrace the creativity that God has given them. I graduated from Berea College in Kentucky, lived in Indianapolis, Indiana and Cleveland, Ohio before finally returning back to my beloved mountains. And yes, you can come home again.
